Isiah Paul Ward, age 76, of Willowbrook, IL, at rest August 18, 2020. Mr. Ward proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam era. Born February 8, 1944 in Atlanta, GA to Isiah Sr. and Annie Mae Ward. Beloved husband of Gwendolyn (nee Pothier); loving father of Cedric Mario (Alicia) Ward, Regina Elise (Terry) Ward Porter, Kim and Tina Delpino; devoted grandfather of Amani Joi Ward and Christopher Michael Ward and many others; dearest brother of Annie Pauline (Richard) Ward Williams, Martha (Nathaniel) Ward Plowden and Maryann Ward; fond uncle of Jenneca Ward Dixon and Natalie Plowden, and several other grandchildren, family and friends. Interment Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at 11:30 A.M. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL. Due to COVID-19 restrictions no more than 20 people will be allowed to attend the service. I was sadden to read of Isiah's passing. As one our USPIS polygraph examiners, he was the most elegant dresser in our group. Definitely, a professional in appearance whenever he walked into the room. It was a great opportunity to work with him. My condolences to the Ward family.

My condolences to the Ward family. I worked with Isiah in Chicago. He was not only a good Postal Inspector, but also genuinely a nice person. I visited with Isiah over the past several years and he would always greet me with that infectious smile and pleasant personality. He will be missed. May God bless you during your time of bereavement.

To Gwen and the Ward family,

My deepest condolence for the loss of your husband, father, brother, grandfather, loved one and more to many. My heart aches from hearing the news of his passing. However, although he is now out of our sight, he will never be out of our hearts.

Isiah was more than a colleague, he was a member of a close knit group of postal inspectors who worked toward improving the service through activism and improving ourselves through investments.

Isiah was a unique individual, my life and others whom he touched are enriched for having known him and memories of our friendship will keep him ever-present.

May you, your family and all who loved him find comfort in knowing that he is at home with the Lord.
