Private family interment. Arrangements entrusted to Cappetta's West Suburban Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Westmont. Info 630-852-8000 or www.westsuburbanfh.com. Memorial Tributes may be left on Marie's guestbook or sent to Gail at mer7ry@global.net

Marie began her walk with the Lord on the night of 2006 when the love of her life of fifty-three years passed away and she heard a message of the Lord's redemption. She learned that those who put their trust in Jesus would live in eternity based on nothing anyone can do in this life to earn that great favor; but only by a Divine act of GRACE of God Himself--not by works so that no man can boast .She carried on in this life following in the waters of Baptism and joining a wonderful church where she made many lovely friends who loved her just as much as she loved them. She also lived in an unassisted-living apartment community where she thoroughly enjoyed the company of the many friends she made there; as well as and especially her best friend and neighbor Ann. Marie delightfully loved to cook--and cook for many she did! She loved word searches, Steve Harvey, Bingo, Canasta and watching "her favorite TV series" over and over again. Every week she looked forward with anticipation to her Maria and Margarita (as she would call them) who would come over and help her with housekeeping. Everyone says that "Marie's smile lit up the room and what a pleasant lady she was!" But besides all that, her family was the JOY of her life and she will be greatly, greatly missed.

"Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me." Psalm 23:4-5.

I had the opportunity to work with Marie in the 80's at GE Railcar. Marie was a wonderful mentor and Manager. We had such great times. We also had kept touch over the years and I now know that Marie is with her Jesus. May God provide comfort and peace to Marie's family in this difficult time.
